Prerequisites
Before starting this tutorial, we recommend completing:
What You'll Learn
- ✓Confirm your community's signals are active
- ✓Create and activate a bot in paper mode
- ✓Confirm signals are arriving in Signal History
With your broker connected, the next step is a bot that listens for your community's signals and places orders in your paper account.
Check that your community's signals are active
You don't need to add your community's signals. Once your member access is verified, they're already in your account. Open Settings > Billing > Community access and confirm your community shows Signals active.
If Signals active doesn't appear, your membership may not include signal access. Ask your community's team.
Create your bot
- Open Bots and click Create Bot.
- Select your community's signal from the signal dropdown.
- Set your position size. Start with the smallest size you can, such as one share or one contract.
- Review the exit settings for take profit and stop loss. If your community recommends defaults, start there.
- Under Settings > Execution, confirm paper trading mode is on. Your bot's status shows Paper.
- Save and activate the bot.
Check that signals are arriving
After your community's next call, open Signals > Signal History. Each signal shows whether it executed or was skipped, and why.
A skipped signal isn't an error. It usually means a rule you set, such as your entry window or a position limit, did its job.
If no signal appears after a call you expected, post in your community's support channel with the time of the call.
Key Takeaways
- ●Start with the smallest position size you can
- ●Keep paper trading mode on until you've watched several signals
- ●Signal History shows every signal and why it executed or was skipped
