Tradier Integration

Tradier is a US brokerage built for API trading. RelayDesk connects to Tradier using OAuth: you authorize the connection on Tradier's site, and you never enter API keys or share your password with RelayDesk.

Before you start

You need an approved Tradier brokerage account. If you don't have one, apply at tradier.com. To trade options, and multi-leg spreads in particular, your account needs the matching options approval level.

Tradier supports live trading only in RelayDesk, so bots using a Tradier connection trade real money. Test new bots on an Alpaca paper account first.

Connect your Tradier account

1. In RelayDesk, open Settings > Brokers.
2. Under Available brokers, choose Tradier.
3. Log in on Tradier's site and authorize RelayDesk.

Your Tradier account appears under Connected accounts. Select Test to check the connection.

What you can trade

Through Tradier, RelayDesk bots can trade US stocks, ETFs and options, including multi-leg spreads. Supported order types are market, limit, stop, stop-limit and multi-leg orders. The position size limits and risk caps you set in RelayDesk apply to every order your bots send to Tradier.

Fees

• Tradier charges $0 commission on stock trades.
• Options pricing starts at $0.10 per contract on Tradier's Pro Plus plan.
• Exchange and regulatory fees still apply.

If something doesn't work

• Authorization fails: confirm your RelayDesk subscription is active and your Tradier account is approved and in good standing, then try again from Settings > Brokers.
• A multi-leg order is rejected: your Tradier account needs the options approval level required for that spread type.
• Insufficient buying power: check that the bot's position sizing fits the buying power in your Tradier account.
• An order is rejected outside market hours: standard orders through Tradier execute only during regular sessions.
• The connection shows as disconnected: Tradier's OAuth token can expire. Reconnect from Settings > Brokers. Bots using that connection can't place orders until it's restored.
